Our Story
In our Grotto family, we celebrate good times together, and we support one another in hard times. As many of you know, we experienced the loss of our son, William Bear Chambers at birth and his short life changed the way we do life.
Our experience has inspired us to give back to the community in a meaningful way. This page is dedicated to various initiatives we do in honour of Bear.

Event: Flag Raising Ceremony
When: October 15, 2024 – 8:30am
Where: Front of Stratford City Hall
Event Overview: Join us as a community as they raise a special flag at City Hall to honour Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day.
Event: A Wave Of Light
When: October 15, 2024 – doors open at 6:30pm
Where: Stratford City Hall Auditorium (1 Wellington St., Stratford ON)
Event Overview: The annual A Wave of Light event is to observe and remember those who have lost babies gone too soon. We signify this by lighting candles creating a continuous wave of light across time zones to honour and remember the lives of infants lost to miscarriage, stillbirth, and other forms of infant death.

Event: A Walk To Remember
When: June 2, 2024 from 7-9pm
Where: Grotto Hair Studio
Event Overview: This special event is to celebrate and honour our babies gone too soon, as well as to support those who have experienced pregnancy and infant loss. Please let those in your life, who may want to attend an event such as this to reach out and join us.
